The purpose of this guide is to help you minimize your opportunity cost while progressing on your weapon pool.
This guide is written from my experience, your experience may varies.
1. Unlock Extreme Showdown
Unlock all your Omega/Maga Showdown by progressing through Story line and host and beat your Hard then Extreme Showdown.
You can find Extreme Showdown at the first island where you started the game.
2. Collect your missing summon
Try to collect just 1 copy of all Summons or only the one you need from the rotational Showdown under Special Quest.
These are Ifrit, Sagittarius, Corow, Diablo, Cocytus and Vohu. Of course you can finish and 4* them if you like.
If you got the corresponding summon for any element from Premium Draw/Gacha then, it's one less you need to get.
If you got a Primal Summon: Agni, Varuna, Zephyrus and/or Titan.
Don't use these until you can 3*(Max Limit Break) them or you have at least around 4-5 Normal Attack Skill Weapons with Max Skill Level.
3. Weapon pool composition
These are only suggestion.
Omega(Magna)/Elemental:
6 Magna, 2 Collaboration, 1 Bahamut, 1 Normal
or
6 Magna, 1 Collaboration, 3 Normal
Elemental/Elemental(recommended setup until you're ready to use Magna or Primal on one end)
5 Magna, 1-2 Collaboration, 2-3 Normal(2 Normal, 1 Bahamut)
For End Game:
Primal/Elemental
2-3 Magna, 0-2 Collaboration, 6-7 Normal II
Magna/Elemental
5-7 Magna, 0-2 Collaboration, 1-4 Normal, 0-1 Bahamut
The reason for such fluctuation for End Game is due to what weapon you can get and which weapon you chose to use that can go to Skill Level 15 and Normal II instead of Normal.
4. Weapon Farming
Each Magna drop their own element weapon. Chevalier and Celeste drop SSR weapons with dual skill on them. For example, Chevalier Axe has HP up on light element but Water Attackup as Normal category on its 2nd skill.
To summon these Magna/Omega Extreme, you will need to farm the lower difficulty for their Gold Anima. These Anima can drop from both Hard and Extreme Mode.
For Nomal Attack up weapons, you farm these from monthly Event, Gacha or Guild War Weapon conversion. GW weapon start as light but you can change its element to any type. I don't recommend conversion to Water unless you need it for Main Hand. Chevalier Axe is better choice than GW weapon for Water Normal in long run.
Collaboration Weapon AKA Unknown
These weapons are limited during a Collaboration Event. You want to get at least 1 MLB of these per 1 element.
Bahamut Weapon, you can get one from Bahamut run(rare) or upgrade from rusty weapon.
MLB rusty weapon then LV it to 75 and combine it with a Bahamut Horn at Siero Shop to make a SR version of Bahamut weapon. You can leave it at SR and SL1 for a long time until you decide to upgrade it. Its upgrade path is quite steep. Bahamut Horn drop from Bahamut RAID or reward from hosting(beat) it for the first time.
Rusty Weapon drop form Bahamut run and from *(Star)Halo
5. Weapon Progression
With example from section 3 in mind, I suggest you don't make more than 3 SSR Magna and no more than 3 SR Magna weapons for your pool until you decide your exact set you want to aim for.
You might pull a Primal and/or Bahamut/Lucifer along the way.
For SSR that you going to keep, start to SL(Skill Level) 4 them.
For SR, keep them at SL2 unless you going to keep it for couple of months then SL6 or 7.
For SSR Magna Weapon, I recommend you to leave them at 0* and fill up at least 3 slots first before you limit break them. In general, a 0* weapon @ SL4 is stronger than a 2500 base attack weapon that doesn't boost your element.
And focus on the weapon that increase attack up AKA the Sword Icon.
You also should keep a set of HP weapon in case you need it. If you can get those with dual skill that has both attack and hp up. These kind are probably more valuable.
6. How to speed up farming
There are couple things you can do to help speed up your collection of weapons.
7. MVP your own run
As mentioned above, you want to get as many Red Boxes as you can. So once you're strong enough to solo a Magna to around its 50%, do that and call for help. You can do this earlier than you think.
Here are youtube videos that you can check out.

9. When to change summon
For most player, you will probably using Elemental Summon as Main and as Friend Summon for a long time.
The timing to switch to Magna on one end is roughly when your Magna boost is at around 54%. This percentage is referencing against a 80% elemental summon.
For EX:
You have 3 SSR and 3 SR Magna Weapon. SSR start at 6% and SR start at 3% for most Magna weapons.
To reach 54%, you need 2 SSR @ SL 10, 1 SSR @ SL4, 1 SR @ SL5 and 2 SR @ SL2.
10. When to start other element
Start right away. Each Event has different element and so is Guild War. As new player, you would want to take any boost as you can get. When you tackle with an advantageous element team, you will do more damage and take less damage. This will help you progress even faster in long run.
Good Luck,

6. How to speed up farming
There are couple things you can do to help speed up your collection of weapons.
- Collect enough Anima so you can do 3 runs per day
- Host and get MVP at the same time. Host get 1 red box and MVP get 1 red box. These red box has about 10% chance for SSR. Which SSR you get is still random
- Casino, you can make medals there to get additional 3 Anima per day and other useful goodies.
- Spend your 5 BP/EP. These fully charge around every 1 hour and 40 mins. You might get lucky for a flip box
- Bring Treasure Hunter to increase chance of Gold Flip Box that guaranteed SSR
- Raise your SR and R characters. Use them in any Magna/Omega(Hard and Extreme mode) to gain additional Bonus Renown Pendants. They're 500 additional you can get per week per Category SR and R. You can trade for any Magna/Omega SSR in Siero Shop with these points. Each are generally limit to 2 per month. Need about 1800 participation points to get credit for Renown badges.
7. MVP your own run
