In my humble opinion, the stories told throughout the game, be they the main story, events or side mission, are one of its best features.
Being in Japanese and machine translation what it is many people just skip over the story, but I know at least a few of you have a vested interested in our heroes, so I invite you all to discuss it here. (Shoutbox is alright, but no way to check past posts so easy to miss important details / previous discussions etc)
Whether you want to talk about specifics, or just have questions about what the hell is going on, feel free to ask away
***There may be spoilers below so you may like to finish the main quest before reading further!***
So, here is a quick list of the various stories that exist in the game:
-Main Story -The background/law of the world -Individual character stories (several overlap with the main story/events, but most gacha characters have their own sub-plots)
and the events - as described by their summon -Phoenix -Nephthys -Manawydan (the twins) -Jörmungandr -Albacore -Hekatonkheir (Goblin King) -Poseidon -Marduk -Sylph -Brynhildr (Cinderella Girls)
IMPORTANT QUESTION! DID KARIOSTRO EVER CONFIRM HER GENDER??? must be capped because it's the absolutely most important thing. I know Kari said it's up to our imagination but may be i missed a hint somewhere---
That aside, this time story, if only we can butcher Izabella then ask Sophia to revive her so that we can butcher her again ->repeat.
Orchis' is the last surviving member (we think) of the Teikoku Kingdom royal family - before it turned into a military empire. Her father was one of the last living People of the Stars (hoshi no tami) - the ones who created the seishouju are are essentially demi-gods. Loki is her fathers brother, and was just revealed to be the commander of the Teikoku empire. He believes he has a legitimate claim to the throne so with some other convoluted reasons, has decided the hero and co are his enemies. Now, Loki has taught Teikoku how to use a special type of magic that our hero has (up till now) no way to counter. It was first used to make/corrupt Yggdrasill Malice. To stop more harm coming to Yggdrasill, Rosetta revealed herself to actually be a seishouju (the Rose Queen), and tells the hero that the power to defeat Malice is withing Vee, but was locked away by the hero's father. (think Jean Gray/Phoenix type thing) They go to unlock Vee's power, and it is implied that he is actually Bahamut, or at least shares its power. -which would explain why Lyria is able to summon it when she and the hero first meet.
There is also a bunch of other stuff happening with the Teikoku commander Fruisha who is trying to awaken and summon a seishoju that can literally rewrite history.
So yeah, getting pretty interesting!
