I'm at rank 27 and I started on Friday night, although I haven't been playing continuously. I should hit 30 by tonight, because the double exp event ends in 8 or so hours. I found a stage that gives a little over 500 rank exp and costs 2 stamina because of the special, so I'm running that on autobattle right now.

I'm playing it safe and aiming to 40 just in case do to the second tale event. but i'm like lvl 35 and I have been just auto most of the stages, played since Friday but have not been actually doing it in a super hardcore way so I say its fine, just make sure to spend all your stuff on the free 5*, and if you get the free 4* from the melon thingy event feed her his own exp books from the same event to make things go smoother. If you just run the missions only once and juts keep going you will have to spend a couple of second actually using the character special to kill the final bosses of each chapter later on since they would just decimate the weak sauce members of your party that are not leveled outside the 5* and the 4* if you put some exp books on them.

It's quite easy to hit Rank 30. You can do it within a day thanks to the double EXP, half AP event and the free 5* Yuri you get in the mailbox. You could probably hit 30 in a day even without these bonuses since your AP resets every time you level. Even factoring in the 4x loss in efficiency you'll still steamroll through the first ranks so getting Milla is pretty easy! The only issue is that Asteria is fairly bland if you can't understand the skits/references because the gameplay is otherwise lackluster. The safest route for your sanity is turning on AUTO and doing anything else. If the second Tales collab requires you to hit 40 then you definitely want to start ASAP, as leveling does start to slow down around the 30s.
Event starts in about 16 hours. As a long-time Tales player and newcomer to Granblue I'm super hyped.

Nah. Only Rank 30 might be aiming a little low. Since the new Tales collab coming after the rerun is probably going to have a character that will require you to be Rank 40 in Asteria unfortunately...
If the requirement were to end up being Rank 50 I would probably just give up. Because no event SR is worth suffering through this shitty game that much...
Rank 47, and for the first time I ran out of stamina and couldn't level up, I guess I will let it rest at 50 to be sure once it refill, the game is not too good to put more effort beyond that, such an uninspired game.
Not sure if any of the mods still support this community, but they should be aware that the forums are infested with bots and that their forum needs to be upgraded.
