Newbie looking for tips

Im a relatively new player at this game, started a week ago and rank 41 atm

Weapon Master lv 20
Hawkeye lv 10(for treasure hunt)

Working on my arcana dueler and sentinel right now so I can unlock dark fencer next.

After reading the ultimate guide on how I should be aiming for magna weapons later on and given that my team is all fire types makes me wonder if I should be aiming for the Colossus staves since they're the only ones that given a big boost to atk or if I should aim for more Colossus axes(even though they are SR and have a~500 less max damage than the staves).

-Edit- Forgot to add that I want to aim for the Berserker class later on so my main weapon would be a sabre/axe. Wondering if having Colossus SR axes with the 20% bonus damage to the main character would be better than the Colossus SSR Staves?

The thunder dirk in my inventory can still be leveled a bit more until it hits the 40 cap so I think i'll use it for awhile just for the raw stats and replace it later with a manga weapon.

As for characters I'm currently trying to gather mats to MLB my Yuel (gold certs my bane) and then I'll focus on Clarisse and Aoidos afterwards. The sub slots are there just to get exp and fill up my party.

I just got the Ifrit summon today thanks to the reset and am currently farming the VH Ifrit to get enough for the gold certs and hopefully get more Ifrits to drop for the LB.

Also just looking for general tips on what I should be focusing on given my current situation, I might aim for another 600k honors in the scenario event to grab myself another gold cert

Link doesn't work. Also, the SSR staves would be better with as they benefit the whole team rather than just your main character. Once you MLB an SSR colo summon and have roughly more than 35%-40% in magna skill %, MLB SSR colo summon is better than 40% Ifrit. Staves are partially the reason why fire teams are underpowered IMO.

You can get plenty of certs (both) during Proto-bahamut raids once you reach rank 50, while trying to get SR bahamut weapons. Although, you'd be mostly leeching.

Link fixed,figured staves would be better given they had the base damage difference and an extra 3% fire dmg over an ax, just wasn't sure and wanted confirmation . Dropping staves is the only problem Q.Q

Yea. Farming specific SSR weapons can take a really long time. In the mean time, using SRs wouldn't be a bad idea.
